1，Sore Throat of Excess of Heat

      Main Manifestations

   Abrupt onset with swelling pain in the throat, chills, fever, headache, thirst, constipation, tongue is red, tongue coating is thin and yellow, superficial and rapid pulse.

   Treatment

   The points of Lung Meridian, Stomach Meridian are selected as the main points, reducing manipulation is used to disperse wind and heat.

   Prescription

   Shaoshang (LU 11), Hegu (LI 4), Neiting (ST 44), Tianrong (SI 17).　　

　　2， Sore Throat of Deficiency of Yin ::

   Main Manifestations

   Gradual onset of dry throat, slightly congested throat with intermittent pain or pain during swallowing after too much speaking, the pain in the throat onset, hot sensation in the palms and soles, dryness of throat more marked at night, red and furless tongue, thready and rapid pulse.

　　Treatment

   The points of Kidney Meridian and Lung Meridian are selected as main points to nourish Yin and descend fire to stop pain with reinforcing manipulation.

　 Prescription　

   Zhaohai (KI 6), Lieque (LU 7), Lianquan(CV 23), Futu (ST 32).
　　
1.辩证——实热

主症
   起病急骤，咽喉肿痛，并恶寒发热，头痛，口渴，便秘，舌红，苔薄黄，脉浮数。

治法
取手太阴、足阳明经穴为主。针刺用泻法，以疏风清热。

　处方
   少商合谷内庭天容

2.辩证——阴虚

主症
咽痛不甚，起病缓慢，咽干，喑哑，咽部稍红，说话多时则咽喉疼痛，或吞咽时微觉痛楚。手足心热，咽干以夜间尤甚，舌红无苔，脉细数。

治法
取足少阴、手太阴经穴为主。针刺补泻兼施，以滋阴清热止痛。
